Welcome to Energy Medicine University

Dr_Sara_Allen

Hi there. Sara Allen here introducing a passion project that has been in the works for a while now. It’s called Energy Medicine University. energymedicineuniversity.com EMU for short. Yep, like the bird that looks like an ostrich. Yep, it is that insurance ad bird too. But more on the EMU later.

The inspiration for this site comes from the circle of brilliance that I have immersed my self in since 1981. Oh my…how I LOVE this world of energy healing. All the healers, the intuitives, the seers, the readers, the channelers, the ministers, the crystal workers, the empaths, the physicists, the teachers, the authors, the visionaries, the sages and of course the prophets, that converge in this glorious world of subtle energy exploration is extraordinary. It is my personal happy place to be in the middle of all this glory.

I am now officially in my ‘third trimester’ of this incarnation – and it is my desire to create a space for myself and others where folks with interest in any and all things energy can converge and gather here at this site. I want this site to feed the need for purpose and expansion and be a fun place to study classes, read about the history of the energy medicine pioneers, listen to pod casts, discuss cultural impacts, and get news about the movings and the shakings of those of us out doing this work. And it is really really really good news. This work is changing the culture for good. We are becoming legion.

I want this site to be the site I wish I had at my finger tips when I began my career in energy work over 43 years ago.

So to get started… and we’re JUST getting up and running… we have a sampling of some of the things we are already busily making happen for this site.

There is a podcast called Put a Quarter In It!

The name comes from a student who was in a class that Debra Hurt and I were teaching. She said she loved asking a question and getting a really juicy, in depth, OVER answers to her questions. Debra and I really do over answer every question. This student proclaimed that she was going to bring a roll of quarters and keep feeding the juke-box to hear all the hits…she was gonna “put a quarter in it and just sit back and listen”. We thought that was really funny and it has stuck.

It is a little baffling to Debra and I that anyone would want to hear us ramble on… but here ya go. The first installment of Put a Quarter In It Debra and I discuss energy and soul… you know the juicy bits right?

Just for fun a little ditty about the EMU animal totem qualities and why we are digging on the Emu.

Emu

The Emu is a popular totem animal in Australia. It is seen as a symbol of power, strength and endurance. They represent a sacred connection between humans and the natural world. They were considered creator spirits. They are seen as a symbol of wisdom and knowledge, and its feathers are often used in Aboriginal ceremonies.

The Emu is know for its ability to run for miles without tiring, making it a great metaphor for cultivating perseverance for spiritual and healing journeys.

It is also seen as a symbol of cooperation and community spirit – it is known to live in large groups and cooperate to survive. It is a symbol of collaboration.

And the Emu is a symbol of groundedness. The Emu teaches us how to release, purposefully, all that is no longer serving us into the ground and root us in what truly powers us. Emus are known for their ability to adapt to changing environments and resourcefulness. The Emu reminds us that we are capable of reaching our goals – even when the going feels uncertain.
